The phone features a lithium ion battery, which increases the amount of usage up to 25% over other phones. Currently you have about 5 hours of talk time and 17 days of standby. Note also that the range of capabilities is increased on this model as it is Quad Band ready - meaning that GSM 850 900 1800 and 1900 are all available on the phone. GPRS is also enabled.
Camera & Storage
The camera on the Blackberry 8520 Gemini Curve is probably nothing to get excited about. It's a 2MP camera - which is certainly not the best in the industry - but it will take good photos nonetheless.
The high resolution display (320 x 240 with 65,000 colours certainly make for an excellent viewing experience though. Storage on the device can be extended via the insert media slot. Files can also be transferred via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth if necessary.
Checking around the internet also does the job. I found a couple of more themes that are amazing...or better yet jaw dropping. There's a 2 gb memory card that comes along with the Blackberry Gemini 8520. BUT foreseeing that it won't be enough for the themes and applications I'm downloading, I plugged in my 4 gb memory card (from the Blackberry 8120).
I think I read somewhere that they will be releasing a 16 gb memory card for Blackberry Gemini 8520 and pretty soon, a 34 gb memory card will be also available. I believe it's in the works now.
Style
Blackberry has always been a stylish manufacturer of phones, and the Blackberry 8520 Gemini Curve is certainly no exception. The phone is easy to use, and looks amazing in its black plastic shell. We would love to have seen them use a metallic skin; however this is not a total letdown.
Each individual key is very easy to press, and this makes programs such as BBM (Blackberry Messenger) and Live Messenger an absolute pleasure to use.

To finish, we must say that the Blackberry 8520 Gemini Curve needs to be used to have its potential realized. This is an incredible phone produced by an amazing manufacturer. However, it is really quite difficult to express its abilities here on paper.
Given that the price of the phone has recently been slashed - we think that now is a better time than ever before to purchase this unlocked cell phone. So go ahead and delight your senses in the Blackberry 8520 Gemini Curve. Sleek and very easy to navigate - those are the first impressions that the Blackberry Gemini 8520 made.
Back then, before I had this phone, I had the Blackberry 8120 - and the difference between these 2 models are miles apart! You see, the Blackberry Gemini 8520 takes a little longer to charge up BUT it's all worth it. The talk time I get from it is significantly longer than my previous Blackberry phone.
Now as for the keys, I think Blackberry could improve on it - I wish it could light up a little brighter. BUT it's NOT a huge issue. I easily got used to it after using it for a couple of days.
There is one minor issue I have with the Blackberry Gemini 8520 - I think there are NOT enough applications or themes that are made for this model. YES, I have to admit, I'm a mobile phone geek. BUT this was easily fixed by downloading a couple of applications and themes from my 8120 to my Blackberry Gemini 8520.
As for the quality when it comes to web browsing, I'm giving it two thumbs up. I never had any problems when it comes to dropped calls, lost signals, the keys for text messaging. Everything about the Blackberry Gemini 8520 feels and looks great!
You can even pull up the built in dictionary while you are text messaging. There are so many useful stuffs and niceties that the Blackberry Gemini 8520 has. Heck! Just like a computer, it even comes with a firewall!
It could take hours outlining all of the features of the Blackberry Gemini 8520. BUT here's a better idea - grab one for yourself and enjoy it!
