My Experience With The LG KP500 Cookie:
Well, this Cookie from LG is INDEED delicious!
You see, I'm someone who travels frequently - back to the United Kingdom, and this phone works excellently for me. Since the LG KP500 Cookie is a Quad Band and GSM phone, it means I can grab a removable sim card that I can use as a pay as you go phone when I'm at the UK, and then switch it back to my usual sim card when I'm in the United States.
HOWEVER, you are only limited to AT&T as well as T Mobile in the United States since the other carriers are NOT compatible with GSM phones. I'm not really sure why.
The LG KP500 Cookie that bought in the UK comes with an adapter for 110 v as well as 220 v charging - which is nice since...allowing you to charge up when you are in other countries. Along with that, the LG KP500 Cookie comes with a screen protector and the casing itself feels great - it looks classy and durable...NOT cheap.
The touchscreen of the LG KP500 Cookie is bright and very easy to navigate. The inclusion of the stylus perfectly fits the base of the phone - making it handy when you are text messaging. The LG KP500 Cookie also comes with a slot for a Micro SD card up to 8 GB. This is more than enough for storing MP3s, photos, videos, and those are just to name a few.
One minor issue - the headphones supplied with the phone are NOT as good especially when it comes to listening to music. I really would prefer having the ability to use third party phones.
Now onto the camera - the quality isn't great BUT good enough. It's just like any phone cameras - the quality is a little grainy. And I really don't use it that much since I have a high quality digital camera for taking pictures while on the go so this is NOT an issue at all for me.
Wrapping things up - the LG KP500 Cookie is a little phone that is more affordable and less heavy and bulky than the legendary iPhone. Should you need accessories for it, eBay is a nice place you should go to. Matter of fact, I just grabbed a leather case that suits it perfectly along with a car charger. I've been using it for about 7 months now and I'm pleased with it!
Oh! One last thing - check out the phones latest firmware, which as far as I know is V10n. That will make your LG KP500 Cookie a lot better. While the install is a little tricky and can be done only on a Windows Operating System, it's well worth the effort - it increases the LG KP500 Cookie's performance by a mile!
