When the Nokia N97 mini 8 GB Unlocked Phone was released, I was initially discouraged from buying it due to some negative reviews I have read about it - saying that it's about the same cost of Nokia N97 BUT its features pale in comparison to its BIGGER brother.
Well, I couldn't be happier with the Nokia N97 mini 8 GB Unlocked Phone. I'm glad I ignored those negative reviews and followed my instincts instead. This is one phenomenal phone. In my opinion, when it comes signal strength and quality, Nokia is matched only by Blackberry.
I don't know about you BUT I find silly that professional reviews focus a lot on phone capability and features BUT leave the signal strength and call quality behind. For me, this is one of the most important features a phone should have. After all, that's why you have a mobile phone - for calling and text messaging.
The home screen of the Nokia N97 mini 8 GB Unlocked Phone can be modified very easily. This is something that my iPhone doesn't have. I don't know if I have an email! I want to check my email without the need for digging deep down into the menus. That's something that the Nokia N97 mini 8 GB Unlocked Phone gives me.
The integrated web browser is very snappy and excellent - very fast loading times. The size is perfect - very easy and convenient to carry around. And as for the build quality, it far exceeds the N97 - being at par with the E71 with its solid feel.
The touch screen, from my experience, it is very responsive. I have read a lot of debates about resistive and responsive touch screens. I was never comfortable with iPhone's touch screen BUT working on the Nokia N97 mini 8 GB Unlocked Phone's screen is a breeze!
In conclusion and summing things up, the Nokia N97 mini 8 GB Unlocked Phone is one of the best things I have ever spent my money on!
